Jack is widely recognized by the real estate and building industries as a trusted and reliable expert in Education Instruction and Program Development; Business and Productivity Counseling; and Professional Standards, Alternative Dispute Resolution and the Law. Jack received his Bachelor of Science Degree, with an Education Specialty, from Central Michigan University. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor Degree from Michigan State University, College of Law. Currently licensed as a real estate broker, Jack has been active in many facets of the real estate and building industries since 1975.
As President of NCI, Jack is responsible for maintaining NCI’s position as Michigan’s premiere vocational school specializing in real estate and housing-related education. As a featured speaker, Jack has been called upon to share his expertise with numerous organizations such as the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), numerous state and local real estate and builder’s associations, as well as private companies throughout the United States.
Jack has carved out a niche and is highly sought-after as someone who knows how to uniquely blend practical wisdom, humor, and a straightforward, common sense approach to business and life. | Marjie Waller Director of Administrative Operations and Customer Service
Marjie
is the key person responsible for making sure that NCI’s growing family
of clients and students are afforded the best level of customer service
available. As office manager, her extensive expertise in administrative
management comes in handy. According to Marjie, “In a complex and
changing world, a company must be ready, willing, and able to respond
to all reasonable customer needs.”
NCI is fortunate to have this
talented person as its point person for student and client services.
Marjie’s other responsibilities include personnel management,
accounting, scheduling, marketing, and production of training
materials. Marjie also consults for service organizations on customer service and office management issues.

| Donald Pratt NCI Technical Education Advisor Construction Program
Don Pratt is an active building industry leader with extensive, hands-on experience in nearly every phase of the construction industry. Don earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University in 1969. Other industry designations include the Certified Graduate Builder (CGB), Certified Graduate Remodelor (CGR), and Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS). As President of Wake-Pratt Construction Company, Don oversees the company’s new construction, land development and remodeling divisions. Wake-Pratt specializes in constructing and remodeling energy-efficient homes through the National Energy Star program.
Don has served as President of both the Building Industry Association of Southeastern Michigan (BIASM) and Michigan Association of Home Builders (MAHB), a life director and Vice President of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and Chairman of the Board of the NAHB’s National Housing Research Center.
Since 1996, Don has been actively involved in alternative dispute resolution as well as serving as a widely sought-after expert consultant and expert witness in construction-related legal matters. Don is a registered Code Official with the State of Michigan as a Certified Building Inspector and Plan Reviewer. His commitment to the industry is well known and evident as he continues his work to improve the educational opportunities and professionalism of builders and remodelers throughout the United States.

| Charles P. Breidenstein NCI Technical Education Advisor Construction Program
Chuck is recognized as one of the building industry’s foremost experts possessing expertise in a wide-array of construction-related topics. He earned his B.A. from Central Michigan University and an A.A.A. in Construction Management from Ferris State University. Chuck has been a licensed builder since 1972, with extensive experience in Design-Build, Light Commercial Construction, Residential Remodeling, and Home Inspection.
His numerous professional accomplishments include: Cofounder of the Housing, Education, and Research Center at Michigan State University; Member of the Advisory Committee of Ferris State University Building Construction Technology program; and former Education Director for the Michigan Association of Home Builders (MAHB) where he played the lead roll in reshaping the education program for all Michigan Builders.
Chuck has received industry accolades from a number of key industry organizations including: National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Life Spike award winner and Author of numerous building-related articles, training programs, and seminars. Chuck is also widely recognized on a national level as a result of being a repeat and featured speaker at the NAHB International Builder’s Show and the National Remodelors Show.
