• ABC's of Enhancing Customer Loyalty
Who ever said, “You can’t judge a book by its cover,” obviously never worked in a service industry! In today’s information-driven, service-hungry society, the marketplace can be unforgiving to businesses and organizations who are not prepared to raise the customer service bar. Effective customer service is as much a “state of mind” as it is a “plan of action.” This fast-paced program brings together many interesting, and sometimes surprising, ideas for improving customer and client relationships. Versions of this program are available for association as well as general sales personnel.

• Agency Practices for the Modern Professional
The issue of agency is practiced everyday in real estate, yet rarely can the agent easily and understandably explain the process to their prospective customer or client. This program exposes the many myths agents have regarding agency and procuring cause, as well as the misuse of state-mandated Agency Disclosure Forms. A brief, historical review of agency assists the participant in understanding the rationale behind the disclosures and agency contracts necessary to manage the risk in actual daily practice. Group questions illustrate the need to develop proper dialogue in communicating with buyers, sellers, landlords or tenants when reviewing company policies on agency. A certificate of completion will be provided all participants to demonstrate compliance for their broker.

• Association Leadership Training
An in-depth look at the dynamics of group leadership from the non-profit association perspective. Topics presented include the Business Judgment Rule; Blocks to effective communication; Committee and Liaison relationships; Psychological tips for working with groups; Developing a good President–Executive Officer relationship; Governance versus Management; Role of the President; Authority; and Leadership orientation. This is an excellent program to help association leaders have a successful year while developing a strong sense of team play and membership community.

• Association Liability Issues
This program is a must for newly elected directors and officers of an association. Topics include: Privileged Attorney–Client communications; Director liability; Business Judgment Rule; Non-profit distinction; Indemnification and limits on liability; Sexual harassment; State law; Duty of care; Liability for breach of duties; and Loyalty and care issues. Handout materials and guidelines will assist the Director/Officer in performing their duties with an understanding of the legal issues involved in assuming their position in the association.

• Committee Chairman Orientation
This fast-paced, high-quality program is designed to give every committee chairman the key edge needed to accomplish the goals of the committee and get the most out of its members. The functions of leadership will be discussed with an emphasis on effective communication and an understanding of human behavior. Good committee management is vital to every association. Committee chairmen are often the directors and officers of the future. The lessons learned in this program will serve the participant well into the future as association leaders. This program has been conducted for many local and state associations with excellent results.

• Fair Housing Workshop
Fair housing, Civil Rights and Equal opportunity in Housing are laws and concepts that have been ingrained in the public consciousness for decades. Unfortunately, there are still far too many examples of violations evidenced in the practices of some and in our communities. Whether it involves the perpetration of a vile hate crime, or a subtle violation that may go unreported, fair housing breaches are intolerable. This fast-paced, how-to, Q&A-based program examines the issue from a practitioner’s perspective. With cultural diversity on the increase, a sound policy of vigilance to fair housing principles is not only the right thing to do, it is also a good business practice. Real Estate, Building Industry and Property Management Professionals will all benefit from this important program.

• Mediation Training
The use of mediation as an important dispute resolution alternative is on the increase. Many individuals, private companies and associations have used mediation with excellent results. While the benefits of mediation are plentiful, many organizations are in need of trained individuals who can properly facilitate the process. This interactive workshop provides a sufficient level of hands-on training, delivered through simulation exercises, to prepare participants to handle basic mediations.

• Parliamentary Procedure for Meetings
This workshop provides a common formula or guide for conducting smooth and productive meetings. It assures that the will of the majority will be determined in an orderly manner. The use of role-play demonstrates the most common mistakes made using Robert's Rules in meetings today and helps participants improve their parliamentary skills. Along with role-play, lecture, humor and written guidelines are used in the presentation of this lively workshop.

• Procuring Cause Workshop
This is often the most misunderstood aspect of an arbitration hearing. Procuring cause is not a specific rule but rather a set of guidelines. It must be employed with the utmost of care when rendering decisions that have significant impact on a REALTOR’S® commission. This seminar provides participants with the latest guidelines issued by the National Association of REALTORS® in helping them determine who the prevailing party should be in a set of hypothetical procuring cause situations. Discussion will be facilitated to assist the group in analyzing the issues and conclusions necessary to provide due process under the Code.

• Professional Standards Training (for Committee Members)
Understanding the form, as well as the substance, of the NAR Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual is vital to providing due process to Association members. This program focuses on the intent of the manual by providing participants (Grievance and Professional Standards Committee members) with valuable information to assist them in handling disputes in the appropriate context of their Committee's role, on Hearing Panels and at the Board of Director level. Mock hearings are also used to illustrate the need for impartiality and fair decision-making skills. This program is a must for any Association wanting to provide the highest level of competency and training in Professional Standards.

• Quadrennial (Periodic) Ethics Training (for Association Membership)
Periodic ethics training is not only a NAR mandate every four years, it is good for the REALTOR® image and the real estate industry as a whole. The NCI Team delivers a unique, practical twist on this important program. Students universally applaud NCI’s "high-touch," "how-to" approach as it covers the “real world” side of the Code of Ethics. Special emphasis is placed on how the National, State and Local Associations work in tandem to assure its members of a fair and level playing field. Ethics hearings and procuring cause are also woven into this "high octane" program, along with a fair dose of humor and wit. Treat your membership to a new way of approaching a subject that has not lost its importance in over 90 years of existence.
